Limited down time.  Spare roll positioning makes film splicing easy.

Motor-driven rollers assure smooth film feed operation.

Reliable performance.  By utilizing powered rollers, film roll inconsistencies (degree of slip, static electricity, inertia due to size, etc.) do not adversely affect the assembly’s operation.

Free-swinging dancer bar assemblies accurately and automatically dispense the required film, without tension.
3.
Minimizes material costs.  Bundle size directly determines film usage.  The dancer bar measures out only that length necessary to the wrapping process.  In addition, the free, unrestrained swing of the dancer assembly helps eliminate film tension while wrapping and sealing.  Tension free wrapping eliminates product damage or distortion. Tension free sealing results in consistently strong seals.

 

"HOT KNIFE" SEALING

A solid knife shaped bar seals and cuts film, without waste.
1.
Durability, dependability and cost reduction.  Polypack’s “hot knife” makes small, clean seals and cuts without fumes.  There is never excess film to discard.  Elimination of hot wires (and their accompanying breaks) eliminates downtime.
2.
Simple, single piece, Teflon coated sealing blades.
2.
Simple, pre-engineered, single piece blades provide consistent sealing and cutting.  A high durometer Teflon coating provides excellent release properties that virtually eliminate film build-up (sticking) issues.
3.
The “ hot knife’s” temperature is thermostatically controlled.  A replaceable cartridge element provides the heat source.
3.
Seal temperatures can be varied and then held.  The sealing temperature (and dwell time) can be adjusted in accordance with the film’s sealing characteristics.
4.
The upper seal bar travels smoothly, without wear, due to chain and sprocket mounting.
4.
Extended assembly life.  The mounting sprockets travel along chains, thereby accommodating the inevitable pressure difference between cylinders.  By tracking the upper sealing assembly on chains, the operation cannot bind; wearing is all but eliminated.

 

STAINLESS STEEL TUNNEL CONVEYOR

Solid, stainless steel rods mounted into two hollow pin chains.  A long, “conveyor to tunnel” length ratio.

The cleanest, most maintenance free conveyor available.  Polypack’s conveyor rods cool naturally.  They require no fiberglass sleeves or Teflon coating (to wash when dirty or replace when worn).  In addition, the conveyor’s length eliminates film sticking, cleanup, tracking and replacement issues common to mesh belts.

Spring tensioned operation.
2.
Proper conveyor tension without manual adjustments.  Heat expansion is automatically accommodated; consistent operation results.
